About You

We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Manager to join our STIHL's Mid-Atlantic team! The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on leading and developing high-performing warehouse teams, while knowing how to set clear targets, KPIs, and goals that drive results. They will excel at spotting gaps and opportunities for improvement, while ensuring efficient order fulfillment and exceptional customer service at every step 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directs all aspects of the Branch Fulfillment center including receiving, picking, shipping, replenishment, zone management, inventory management and customer service prioritization. Ensure all dealer and consumer orders are filled on time, accurate and in an efficient manner. Oversee the planning and transmission of purchase orders and purchase plans to other production companies and outside vendors.
  • Develop annual plans and budget and supporting processes to deliver strategic goals of safety, service, accuracy, inventory control and team development. This includes the execution of leading and lagging indicators to ensure adequate staffing and workforce optimization to achieve local and divisional goals.
  • Lead teams to deliver critical KPI’s by learning business systems, training and development of all associates. Review and analyze warehouse operations data and reports. Track employee performance and attendance; provide coaching, counseling and mentoring as needed.
  • Manage and develop supervisors and team leaders to ensure daily routines are executed to meet all local and divisional goals. Coordinates and participates in receiving, storing, packing, inventory verification and order fulfillment operations.
  • Collaborate with sales, inventory planning, customer service and logistics teams to ensure seamless operational service to the dealers.
  • Develop and implement continuous operational processes, capital and financial improvements to deliver long term strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven logs of key warehouse metrics, and record facilities services, maintenance and repairs.
  • Formalizes logistics policies and procedures. Standardizes productivity measurements, reporting and training. Establishes annual and monthly goals for all teams.
  • Directs all aspects of growth and automation including design, construction, implementation, testing, quality and operations
  • Directs all aspects of staffing and position requirements, roles and responsibility development, supporting recruitment and hiring efforts and on-boarding and training routines.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • 7-10 years of related work experience is required
  • Minimal travel requirements
  • Warehousing and logistics experience to include order fulfilment, parcel and LTL shipments
  • Warehouse product scanning technology and inventory management experience
  • Team building and leadership skills
  • Excel and data analytics experience; strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Customer service
  • Lean manufacturing; 5S, safety management, basic mechanical comprehension and repair, AND reporting
