PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
As a Commercial Operations Training Specialist, you will manage department-specific training and development needs to improve overall performance and optimize effectiveness. This includes identifying training needs and developing customized programs for Commercial Account Associates, Commercial Account Management Interns, and Commercial Account Managers across the Scott Insurance footprint.
You will also assist with Workflow Manual updates, work closely with the broader P&C Operations team, and help create/facilitate the Commercial Account Associate training programs.
This will be an on-site position with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office per week + 2 days from home) once training is complete.
This position will require some overnight travel to Scott office locations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-person and virtual trainings on Epic, processes, procedures, desk management, best practices, and Scott’s compliance guidelines.
- Identify training needs, work closely with P&C Operations team members to create solutions, and share coaching/development feedback and progress with department managers.
- Assist with Commercial Account Associate and Commercial Account Management Internship program development, facilitate training sessions, and create course content to improve structure and performance.
- Educate commercial account management teams on Epic software updates.
- Additional responsibilities may include onboarding new accounts, transferring accounts between account managers, and managing a small book of commercial business. This will depend on agency needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5+ years of P&C insurance experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Superior organization/communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/effectively prioritize.
- L&D, training and/or project management experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel across the Scott Insurance footprint.
