Now Hiring: Assistant Banquet Manager
Location: Embassy Suites Denton
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor banquet team members, including recruitment, coaching, evaluations, and discipline.
- Determine future business needs and organize banquet workload accordingly.
- Direct banquet setup and communicate work expectations to the team.
- Meet with clients to finalize last-minute details and ensure smooth service.
- Supervise post-event cleanup and equipment inventory.
- Participate in service and assist with room setup as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and security procedures.
- Support team recognition and engagement programs.
- Embrace company culture and values.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage pressure, multitask, and resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintain a professional appearance and motivate a diverse team.
Hours:
- Variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- 1 year of hospitality or banquet experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and other physical activities.
Environmental Conditions:
- Primarily indoor work with potential exposure to temperature changes.
