Requirements
Bachelors degree in human services relate field or an Associate Degree with demonstrated professional experienceinthehumanservicesormanagementofbehaviorinterventionsandbehavioralhealthsupportsin schools and/or community field required (social work, family studies, counseling).
Demonstrate knowledge in delivery of human services, and crisis intervention.
Strong organizational and management skills.
Have a reliable, working vehicle and the ability to work and drive outdoors during inclement weather.
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential data.
Demonstrated ability to work with parents, students, and staff.
Excellent customer service skills regarding time management, meeting established quality standards of practice, and communication.
Have the ability to self-motivate.
Be willing to learn how to navigate Synergy, district data applications and district email.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicating and conferencing with students and parents of students showing chronic attendance patterns via daily phone calls, home visits, mail, and parent/guardian conferences.
Developing attendance plans in collaboration with schools, students and parent to identify underlying behavioral, environmental, and systemic factors contributing to student nonattendance and developing data-driven recommendations for intervention.
Developing intervention strategies to increase academic success.
Collaborating with school administration and attendance teams in identifying students with Tier III chronic attendance patterns.
Assessing student and family needs to lower incidences of patterned chronic attendance.
Meet with assigned school administrators and attendance teams to review attendance data to identify students having attendance concerns.
Assisting parents in accessing and utilizing school and community resources.
Educate parents to identify and mitigate risky behaviors.
Conducting home visits as needed to discuss attendance concerns with students and parents.
Preparing truancy petitions for court submission.
Collecting and disseminating attendance data to inform intervention.
Preparing for and attending intake hearings for truancy petitions submitted, including sending updated attendance to Intake Referees and Juvenile Court Officers.
Monitor attendance for students on case load.
Work with student and parents to remove barriers to positive attendance.
Collaborate with community partners on attendance intervention programs.
Obtaining and coordinating community resources to meet students' needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
