Hybrid Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Security - FULL TIME DAYS Vineland bei Inspira Health

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Reporting to the System Director for Security, the Emergency Preparedness Specialist will provide support for planning and preparedness activities for the Emergency Preparedness Program. Will assist with coordinating Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation (HSEEP) compliant exercises. The Emergency Preparedness specialist will ensure all emergency preparedness caches of equipment are inventoried, functional and in good repair. Assist and support the Emergency Preparedness department with reviewing and revising IHN Emergency Operations plan and all related Emergency Preparedness plans within the organization. Must have the ability to respond to after- hours, weekends and holidays for emergencies.

QUALIFICATION:

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in Emergency Management, Public Health and/ or a related field preferred.
• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Proficiency in basic technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.
• Must have a broad understanding of regulations and requirements related to emergency written standards.
• Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.

Certification/ Licensure:

• ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 ICS 300 and 400 within 12 months of hire. 
• Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation program preferred (required with 1 year of hire).
