What we Expect of our Assistant Sales Managers

  • Drive to Succeed
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Learning, selling and training our product line which consist of over 100 manufactures.
  • Working on the showroom floor to support and drive sales with your Sales and Design Associates
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings with your team members to insure they have what they need to succeed.
  • Experience with tablet/IPad technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Presentation Skills in a sales environment
  • Desire to be part of something big

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of five years combined, experience in at least TWO of the following areas:
  • Retail Sales
  • Retail Sales Management 
  • Sales Leadership
  • Experience in the home furnishings industry is preferred.  

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of achievement in the sales team by encouraging reps to hit or exceed their quotas
  • Mentor and train sales reps to improve performance, reduce turnover, and provide on-the-job support
  • Develop our sales team by recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new salespeople
  • Analyze previous sales periods to create accurate forecasts
  • Track performance metrics
  • Coach and drive sales
  • Set personal and team goals/achieve goals
  • Foster Teamwork
  • Focus on developing full room solutions and encourage in-home style consultations.

Physical requirement of this position.

  • Must be capable of being on your feet (standing or walking the sales floor) for extended periods of time (up to two hours at a stretch)
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensures re-wraps are done promptly.
