Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Junior Analyst. The Junior Analyst will assist project managers and business teams in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and performance tracking. This position is ideal for an entry-level professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in engineering and construction project management.
Responsibilities
- Support weekly project cost reviews, monthly earnings analysis, and billings reconciliation.
- Assist in sub-consultant cost management and reconciliations.
- Contribute to accurate and timely forecasting of labor, revenue, and backlog.
- Prepare financial analyses and reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards) to assess burn rates, profitability, and cash flow.
- Provide financial documentation and analysis for project review meetings.
- Collaborate with project managers to update cost projections and assess risks.
- Support internal review processes for project agreements and work-at-risk documentation.
- Assist with evaluating client compensation practices, risks, and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Assist in reviewing contract terms, conditions, and compensation requirements for accuracy and compliance.
- Support the preparation of project initiation forms, contract amendments, and documentation.
- Help ensure contract terms flow down appropriately to sub-consultants and other partners.
- Stay informed on updates to contract requirements, billing practices, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Business Law, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- 0–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in engineering, construction, or professional services environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI (experience with ERP or project accounting systems a plus).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
