Senior Human Resources Technician

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Researches, analyzes, balances and prepares financial data for payment, including electronic payment and paper checks
  • Reconciles monthly withholdings to the general ledger accounts for all benefit accounts
  • Coordinates and issues graduate assistant contracts
  • Administers and monitors tax sheltered annuities/deferred compensation
  • Maintains employee data including initial setup and changes to employee deductions and personal information
  • Updates and maintains demographic and enrollment databases for current employees, retirees and COBRA medical plans
  • Assists with open enrollment for retirees and COBRA participants

Position Duties

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Significant experience in data management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and knowledge of Access
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Evidence of the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
