Essential Functions
- Perform a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks, including obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, answering and directing phone calls, and ensuring completion of all necessary forms.
- Communicate fluently in Spanish with patients and their families to accurately obtain and document medical histories and other vital information.
- Maintain medical supply inventory and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers.
- Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations.
- Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively relay information to our Spanish-speaking patients.
- Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit.
- Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed.
- Be comfortable performing medical reception duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing inquiries.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operations.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies.
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements
