JOB TITLE: Associate Licensed Brand Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Buying

REPORTS TO: Licensed Brand Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Full Time

LOCATION: In-office at the Lynnwood Home Office

PAY RANGE: $23-26/ Hour

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position acts as a liaison between licensed brand partners, product design/development, and product manufacturing. This position is responsible for maintaining the approval process of all licensed products to ensure the brand intention is being met. Ability to communicate strongly with diverse groups of internal and external business partners.

 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain communication between licensed brands, Product Development, Design, and Production to adhere to production and development timelines.
  • Maintain relationships with several licensed brands to coordinate monthly or seasonal product drops with oversight.
  • Adhere to brand deadlines specific to each partner’s level of engagement and needs.
  • Facilitate the submit and sample approval process, ensuring the brand’s intention and the Buying Team’s needs are being met.
  • Provide support to the Buying Team in ensuring each brand is maximizing sales and margin opportunities in each channel of business.
  • Assist in the coordination of brand creative sessions, line showings and sell ins.
  • Partner with Licensing Merchandiser to articulate trend and design opportunities through the lens of each brand.
  • Accurate sku and PO creation for Licensing projects.
  • Assist with data entry, line list management, and reporting as needed.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years of retail, buying or line planning experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of equivalent education and work experience.
  • Strong understanding and application of retail math and business analysis.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of the Zumiez culture, customer, market and industry trend. Ability to apply cultural ques across brand, personality and industry connections.
  • Basic understanding of design process, production timelines, tech packs and product lifecycles.
  • Ability and willingness to work hard in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to express creativity and innovative ideas.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office and internal buying systems.
  • High attention to detail.

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to sit in stationary position in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect materials on product.
