Senior Financial Analyst
RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and is a pivotal team member of the unit responsible for preparation of quarterly SEC filings and consolidated financial reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of all 10-Q/K SEC filings including financial statements, footnotes, disclosures and supporting documentation
- Be accountable for various analytical and reporting responsibilities that include the ability to work within finance and other departments
- Recognize, research, and resolve SEC reporting and general accounting issues
- Analyze technical accounting topics and propose conclusions
- Assist in XBRL reporting for all SEC filings, which includes researching tags and staying up to date with taxonomy updates
- Assist with the implementation of FASB projects and standards
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required, with Big 4 experience preferred
- CPA designation preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills with an ability to learn accounting software
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
- Mindset for process improvement and efficiency
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
