Your role:
In your role as Credit Administration Manager, you will play a central role in managing underwriting standards, indirect lending relationships, and credit policy enforcement. You will ensure lending decisions meet internal and regulatory standards while guiding the team responsible for credit analysis and indirect loan origination. You will support strategic credit initiatives and serve as a liaison between underwriting, retail, servicing, indirect lending, and other departments of the credit union as needed.
In this role you will:
- Foster a high-performing, growth-oriented environment within underwriting and indirect lending teams by embedding continuous improvement practices, delivering targeted training, and promoting collaboration across retail lending to elevate service quality and operational excellence.
- Lead the development and enforcement of underwriting standards, ensuring sound credit decisions, portfolio quality, and regulatory compliance through training, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee indirect lending channels, including dealer relationships, loan performance tracking, fraud mitigation, and end-to-end indirect loan processing workflows to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with credit union objectives.
- Administer the creation, review, and implementation of credit policies and procedures, collaborating with compliance and executive leadership to maintain regulatory alignment and operational clarity. Serve as the lead for lending-related audits, ensuring documentation integrity, policy adherence, and timely resolution of findings.
- Manage consumer loan origination systems and decision engines, ensuring configurations support policy adherence, workflow efficiency, and data integrity across consumer lending platforms.
- Maintain oversight and deep knowledge of lending-related vendor platforms, ensuring they operate effectively, meet service-level expectations, and align with credit union standards for data security, compliance, and member experience.
- Stay informed regarding industry regulations, lending standards, and credit union policies to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor, informing him/her of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility.
- Ensure underwriters maintain adequate understanding of the Credit Union’s loan policies and procedures.
- Champion process innovation and operational improvements.
- Deliver service to both internal and external members that are in alignment with the credit union’s Service Standards and meet all established service goals.
- Comply with all security guidelines related to physical and information security.
- Commitment to Credit Unions’ needs and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Comply with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations as they relate to the position.

Requirements

You'll need to have:
- High school diploma, GED or higher
- Three or more years of similar or related experience
Even better if you have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in business, or related field.
- Credit Union experience
