POSITION SUMMARY

 

Our factory in Dunkirk, located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, is a hidden gem situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With its picturesque Great Lakes waterfront, beautiful beaches, ski resorts, vineyards, and boutique wineries, our associates take great pride in calling Dunkirk their home. Since its establishment in 1971, the factory has undergone several expansions to accommodate the growing production of beloved household brands such as Pro Plan, Beggin, T-Bonz, and Busy. 

 

As a Factory Quality Assurance Supervisor, you are responsible for assuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards established by the company and various federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. The overall responsibility of the role is to ensure the manufacturing of safe, high quality pet food. The position is also responsible for the career development and supervision of the QA Technicians who will be reporting to you.   • Responsible for development, training, coaching and supervision of direct reports. This includes objective setting and providing the resources for their success.
  • Perform all administrative functions including employee records, production records and records critical to department operation.
  • Manage factory Formal Release program to ensure only products meeting all regulatory and product specification requirements are released.
  • Actively seek and identify issues that may cause non-conforming product. Collaborate with Supervisors, QA Technicians, and other appropriate plant personnel to implement preventive actions/procedures.
  • Create and manage stock status process for non-conforming products, including rework, donation, and destruction. Expedite processing of holds to ensure dispositions are timely and hold inventory remains at acceptable levels.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure root causes are identified and systematic preventive/corrective actions are implemented and documented per policy.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing, production, military, or related environment
  • 1+ year of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, military or related environment

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $101,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
