As a Cybersecurity Analyst (Level 1) you will split your time between software engineering and cybersecurity operations. You will develop scripts, tools, and applications to support security tasks, integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to secure coding projects. Finally, you will also monitor security alerts, assist with vulnerability management and system hardening, and support access control and patching.

 

This role is ideal for candidates interested in both coding and cybersecurity.


Responsibilities

You will build and maintain automation scripts, applications, and reporting tools for security operations.
You will help integrate static code analysis, dependency scanning, and secrets detection into development workflows, and participate in code reviews to ensure secure coding.
On the cybersecurity side, you will monitor SIEM and EDR alerts, perform vulnerability scans, apply security baselines, track remediation, and support account audits and patch management.
You also collaborate with IT and development teams and stay current on threats and security tools.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
Candidates should have 0–2 years of experience in software development, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity, and be proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++.
Familiarity with Git, secure coding principles, CI/CD pipelines, basic networking, Windows and Linux command-line use, and security tools like EDR, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners is expected.
CompTIA Security+ is preferred. Network+, CySA+, or similar certifications are a plus.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required, along with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
