Job Summary:

We are seeking a recent or prospective doctoral graduate (PhD or equivalent qualification) with a background in health inequalities research to join our team for a National Institutes of Health R01 funded study. To identify effective interventions to reduce structural racism, there is an urgent public health need to capture the complex nature and impacts of structural racism in a multicultural and multiracial society. Our overall objective is to develop an intersectional, comprehensive, multilevel, and multidimensional Structural Racism Measure that has measurement in variance and is valid for both Blacks and Hispanics/Latinos. The selected candidate will work directly with Dr. Villalonga-Olives on the investigation of health inequalities, the use of psychometrics and patient-centered outcomes research. The fellow will work with investigators from several institutions such as University of Maryland, Duke University, Harvard University, Yale University and Johns Hopkins University, and community partners. The selected candidate will work directly with Dr. Villalonga-Olives on the investigation of health inequalities, the use of psychometrics and patient-centered outcomes research. The fellow will work with investigators from several institutions such as University of Maryland, Duke University, Harvard University, Yale University, and Johns Hopkins University, and community partners. 

Duties will include, but are not limited to, manuscript writing, management of community-based activities, grant writing, preparing reports and presentations. The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary research team supported by an advanced data management and computational infrastructure to perform data analyses, develop and/or implement novel statistical methodology, and publish research results.  The incumbent is expected to publish first author papers and present at national and international meetings.
