Responsibilities
- Responsible for both frontend and backend development and database tasks.
- Contributes across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to native apps and demonstrates leadership in product quality, technical excellence, and engineering practices.
- This individual will be well versed with programming languages that are required for client (user) side development, as well as integration approaches and technologies to bridge contemporary frontend implementations with legacy backend systems.
- Lead, Design, code and architect complex applications and demonstrate a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and system design.
- Write programming specifications with guidance, based on systems design for small to medium change.
- Make recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in business or technology environment.
- Collaborate with other software engineers and developers, on the various layers of infrastructure for our applications.
- Ensure responsiveness of applications and maintain quality.
- Effectively develop, manage, and strengthen vendor relationships to align vendor products and services with business and IT objectives.
- Responsible for overseeing consultants work (developers and testers, and System Integrator employees).
- Mentor and develop junior team members with technical proficiency.
- Actively manage incidents by ensuring swift communication to triage, resolve, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Associate's Degree and 4+ years of relevant professional experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- At least three (3+) years of hands-on experience with the following technologies: Structured Query Language (SQL) and (Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft T-SQL), required.
- Experienced in building and debugging an application at frontend, backend, and database, required.
- Hands on experience working with and supporting REST APIs, required.
- Hands on experience building BI Publisher Reports, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, required.
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor developers on the team to drive delivery, required.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders in non-tech language, required.
- Must be comfortable and experienced with complex business logic and system integrations, required.
- Hands on experience supporting off-the-shelf or Cloud based SaaS enterprise level applications like Oracle Fusion Cloud, Peoplesoft HCM, Oracle EBS Suite, required.
- Has successfully delivered multiple products end-to-end (with a team) from inception to delivery, preferred.
- Fluent in writing comprehensive test suites (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to- end), preferred.
- Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Service Now, preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile process, preferred.
- Formal Project Management and/or Business Analysis, preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Quickly troubleshoots and resolves problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Driver's License Required
- Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday
