American Phoenix Pre-weighed Chemical Packaging division operates from five strategic locations: Topeka Kansas, Lawton Oklahoma, Fayetteville North Carolina and Danville Virginia. Initiated in 2004, American Phoenix designed, built and maintains it proprietary chemical weighing and packaging equipment. Pre-weigh services are utilized by large manufacturing companies requiring precisely weighed chemicals for use in rubber mixing. We provide both product reliability and economic value to a critical component of rubber mixing that makes your process more efficient.


SUMMARY: Getting correct pre-weigh to customer in a timely manner. Not strictly driving truck, but also help with the shipping department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Load outgoing trucks, scan barcodes, using excel software

• Physically count and record every outgoing load

• Make sure physical count and the accompanying paperwork match

• Process Shipping paperwork

• Inspect and Drive Truck

• Inspect Trailer

• Inspect and Operate Fork Truck

• Get Chemicals for production lines

• Bale Bags and cardboard

• Keep office area clean

• Clean the back of plant area (inside and out)

• Understands, promotes, and utilize risk management

• Complies with company policies

• Assist where needed

Full time position: 12-hour shifts, Day Shift 5:30am – 5:30pm, 3-4 days a week and every other weekend. Home every night.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill / ability required. Able to do Welding, Cutting, Grinding, Electrical, Mechanical, Metal Working and understanding of OSHA compliance.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• At least six months related experience / training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of our organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Excellent leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively use networked computer systems running various custom and generic applications including Microsoft Office.

• Must occasionally lift / move up to 55 pounds.

• Must be able to pull chain hoist to lift super sacks weighing approximately 2200 pounds.

• Operation of Fork Truck if licensed.

• Schedule for this role may fluctuate depending on organizational demands.

• Thorough knowledge of all operation equipment, safety policies and emergency response procedures.

• Knowledge of the company’s Chemical Hazard Communication program is critical.
