Stark County
based client as we recruit for a Human Resources Manager. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on HR professional ready to step into greater responsibility within a collaborative and evolving organization.
About the Opportunity:
This is a key role for an emerging HR leader who is process-driven, detail-oriented, and confident working with data and systems. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of progressive HR experience and is excited to take ownership of day-to-day HR operations while contributing to broader people initiatives. You’ll help build structure, ensure compliance, and deliver a high-quality employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Maintain and audit employee data across HRIS and internal systems.
- Partner with leadership to manage employee relations, performance, and development programs.
- Administer and communicate benefit programs; serve as liaison for employees and vendors.
- Track and manage leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with FMLA and other regulations.
- Conduct background checks, manage documentation, and ensure up-to-date employee files.
- Monitor employment law changes and support compliance initiatives.
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to support business decisions.
- Support M&A efforts by ensuring HR compliance, integrating employee data, and facilitating smooth workforce transitions during acquisitions.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to support a growing team and culture.
Qualifications (required and preferred):
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or Associate Manager role.
- SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of multi-state employment law and compliance principles.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (willingness to learn new systems is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
- SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
