Essential Job Functions
- Reviews and assesses carrier qualifications, including insurance certificates, safety ratings, operating authority, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Verifies and maintains accurate carrier documents, such as permits, licenses, and insurance, to ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Accurately inputs and updates carrier information and documentation in our database systems.
- Approves or rejects carriers based on qualifications.
- Notifies carriers of pending expiration of insurance or contracts.
- Handles telephone traffic in order to maximize effective use of broker-carrier truck availability.
- Handles check calls and advance requests from drivers and dispatchers in accordance with established policy.
Requirements
- One year of customer service experience
- Knowledge and experience with operating a computer, calculator, and other general office equipment.
- Use professional and clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
