Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, is currently hiring a Health Record and Information Technician II - Imaging for a Flexi Day Shift.
Overview
Compile, process, and maintain medical records of hospital and clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system. Providers and Departments to have a complete compliant medical record and have a strong understanding of HIM operations performed and ability to trouble shoot issues that may arise. Route appropriate documentation to applicable folders, medical records and physicians. Determine Health Maintenance Topics on documents and create orders for documentation when applicable.
Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge of general medical terminology.
Other Requirements: Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize tasks/functions. Work individually and in a team environment. Have organizational skills, eye-hand coordination, strong attention to detail, able to problem solve and meet process document standards as established.
