We are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team! This position will drive and otherwise control a powered lift truck to pick up, transport, set down, and store raw material and manufactured products.
The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience.
This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are 1st SHIFT: Monday – Thursday, 6 AM – 3:30 PM, Friday 6 AM – 2:30 PM
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives and controls a forklift in a safe manner
- Moves material of all kinds in and out of shop or where required, as directed
- May load and unload trucks
- Fill forklift fuel tanks
- Check brakes and all necessary fluids daily to ensure forklift is operating in a safe manner
- Responsible for the organized storage and correct identification of raw material and manufactured products
- Required to fill out work orders and job cards correctly
- Propane shed must be kept clean & organized
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift experience required

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
