About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an QA Auditor to work in the Blairs, Virginia office. The QA Auditor verifies and documents that all received product meet Unique’s specifications to be consistent, safe, and reliable. Auditor performs inspections in both new receipts as well as in house processes to improve customer service.
Responsibilities
- Audits inbound product confirming item, proper paperwork, labeling, packaging, warnings, and accurate design of product using catalogue or sample.
- Accurately documents all findings in Master Pak/JDE System.
- Audits first receipt identifying and investigating product along with a clear detailed written description and a sample provided to Supervisor/Lead.
- Executes random audits on all production in the Blairs facility.
- Compares and verifies audited product to work order.
- Audits daily production by verifying count, quality, packaging, and label scanning to meet or exceed SOPs.
- Presents clear oral and written communications of audit results.
- Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
- A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- A working knowledge of QA functions and requirements.
- Ability to communicate with management, colleagues, line staff, and individuals outside the company in order to meet departmental goals.
- Strong analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and JDE.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- One or more (1+) years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Quality assurance experience preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to reach overhead, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
