Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field Support Technician to provide on-site, client-facing technical support. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of Windows environments, and the ability to support both desktop and mobile devices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on, on-site support for hardware and software systems, including installation, servicing, upgrades, and repairs.
- Perform quality checks to ensure system equipment is operational before deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Configure and deploy PCs and notebooks using SCCM imaging.
- Accurately manage and document service tickets; escalate issues as necessary.
- Support and maintain Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 environments.
- Provide walk-up kiosk support and maintain user-facing support stations.
- Restock and manage IT vending and locker supply units.
- Ensure unresolved issues are directed to appropriate support teams for further analysis and resolution.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in field support or desktop support roles.
- Strong hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting experience.
- Proficient in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office / Office 365.
- Familiarity with SCCM for system imaging and deployment.
- Hands-on experience managing support tickets using a ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
- Familiarity with iOS devices and mobile device support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Office-based support role with direct interaction with end users.
- Walk-up kiosk and tech bar support setup.
- Includes responsibility for vending and locker-based IT supply resupply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, or similar.
- Experience working in a large corporate or enterprise IT environment.
