Hospital Maintenance Project Coordinator
Employer: Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI)
Location: Olathe Medical Center (OMC), part of The University of Kansas Health System
Schedule: Full-time | Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm (occasional evenings/weekends for emergencies)
About the Role
Vanguard Resources is actively recruiting for a fulltime, salaried-exempt, Hospital Maintenance Project Coordinator to manage small renovations and patient transition projects at OMC. This role ensures smooth project execution by coordinating schedules, resources, and communication between departments, contractors, and vendors—prioritizing patient safety and minimal disruption to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Renovation Coordination
- Manage schedules, records, timelines, and communications
- Track progress, identify risks, and assist with presentations
- Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Staff Department Moves & Transitions
- Plan and coordinate staff department moves
- ensure proper egress and staff readiness are maintained
- Administrative Support
- Assist with reporting, risk tracking, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with project governance
- Support the General Manager and project team, as needed

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in project coordination, facilities management, or construction
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions (e.g., crawlspaces, heat/cold)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Tech-savvy; familiar with project software and CMMS systems
- OSHA 10 and healthcare experience preferred
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission)
- Experience in active hospital environments
- Ability to collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams
