Qualifications:

 

  • Registered  Respiratory Therapist
  • Certification as a Respiratory Educator (CRE)
  • Certification in Smoking Cessation Counselling preferred
  • Member in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • demonstrated professional development and participation in QA programs
  • Minimum of two to three (2 – 3) years’ experience that combines clinical education and leadership expertise in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Strong computer knowledge in Meditech, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Superior teaching and leadership abilities
  • Current BCLS required
  • TEACH certification preferred
  • ADP authorization preferred
  • Experience with chronic disease management and prevention
  • Demonstrated ability to provide patient/family centered care
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team 
  • Evidence of ongoing, current professional development
