Job Description:
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Director, Human Resources, will report directly to the Chief People Officer and provide human resources leadership for a designated market. This position is accountable for employee engagement, HR compliance, and continuous improvement in the delivery of people services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leadership: Collaborate with the market leaders and CPO to drive the development and execution of people programs including but not limited to development, retention, culture, total rewards (compensation, benefits, incentives).
Coaching: Serve as a thought partner and coach to members of senior leadership teams, fostering growth in leadership capabilities at all levels. Build rapport and trust to facilitate courageous coaching conversations with executive leaders.
HR Expert: Provides recommendations and assistance on employment related regulations both at the State and Federal level; serving as a point of advice, problem resolution, and facilitation for escalated employee relations issues; advising employees and management regarding employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; managing the research, identification and analysis of employee relations concerns; managing arbitration and negotiation efforts; and defining problem resolution strategies.
Data-Driven: Partners with People Operations team and market leadership team to analyze key people metrics, such as employee engagement, turnover, top talent retention, and drive improvements based on insights.
Employee Relations: Directs and/or partners on complex HR investigations by overseeing the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; conducting interviews on escalated issues; reviewing and evaluating research on key business issues; ensuring the creation of appropriate documentation; and evaluating and recommending corrective action plans for substantiated allegations.
Talent Steward: Collaborate with market leaders and talent acquisition to develop holistic talent plans, supporting short-term and long-term talent needs.
Talent Development: Collaborate closely with market leaders and People leaders to create and execute development strategies to meet the unique needs of individuals and actively identifying areas for improvement in professional growth across the organization.
Oversees one or more HR Business Partners.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Minimum six (6) years’ experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports, including at least 4 years formal supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Social Science, Public Administration, or related field and Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience in human resources or business operations. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirements
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Experience leading cultural change and significant performance improvement efforts within a health care environment.
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to foster a healthy work culture
- Ability to provide high quality service to patients, customers, and team members
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
- Computer literacy

$114,857.60 - $160,000
