About the Position – Fleet Supervisor
The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of New Freedom’s vehicle fleet and transportation team. This role is responsible for managing drivers, vehicles, and schedules while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Manage employees who are responsible for daily peer coach/driving activities, ensuring that quality member-centered care is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ensure accountability across the team/department in adherence to outlined policies and procedures, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to members and advocate for member privacy, well-being, safety, and rights.
- Support a work environment that focuses on staff, customers, and members/family through safe and effective communication.
- Serve as a daily operational resource to staff as it relates to the management of fleet vehicles, supplies, equipment, tools, and resources to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Demonstrate core competencies including, but not limited to, knowledge of recovery, ethical and professional boundaries, reasonable accommodations, advocacy skills, and self-disclosure.
- Provide direct oversight to Peer Coach Drivers and other assigned staff by coaching, supporting ongoing professional development, navigating boundaries and/or performance challenges, and providing ongoing support and assistance.
- Maximize staff retention and employee satisfaction, partnering with the Fleet Manager, senior leadership, and Human Resources.
- Coordinate the daily transportation schedule, monitor driver assignments, and ensure timely pick-ups, drop-offs, and member accountability in alignment with programming expectations.
- Consistently provide and document strength-based oversight and supervision of designated staff, through a combination of individual and group supervision.
- Monitor and sign off on staff documentation, transportation logs, and billing, to ensure all are accurate, thorough, and aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with administrative and intake teams to coordinate logistics for new member arrivals, appointments, external agency trips, and UA testing processes.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Peer Coach Drivers and staff, ensuring familiarity with policies, procedures, safety protocols, and best practice.
- Partner with other departments and teams to coordinate and schedule pick-ups, trips, and other transportation needs.
- Effectively meet any/all outlined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the highest quality and level of member care and engagement is provided.
- Receive and actively engage in clinical supervision and oversight each week/month based on BHPP/BHT designation requirements, including completion of all continuing education requirements.
- Promote an environment of dignity, respect, and safety for all members, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with New Freedom’s mission and core values.
- In addition, all other duties as assigned.
Where You’ll Work
- Primarily onsite in an office environment
- Requires flexibility to respond to emergent situations, after-hour calls, or urgent fleet needs that arise
- Requires driving and operation of a motor vehicle, as needed
- Requires satisfactory visual and auditory abilities to safely operate vehicles and communicate effectively
- Requires occasional travel to program sites/facilities
- Requires use of standard office equipment including but not limited to computer-use, monitors/screen, desk, chair, etc.
- Requires frequent use of hands for typing, handling equipment, and reaching
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, etc.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 30 pounds
