Job Overview:

The Capability Developer for Medium Close Combat Missiles (MCCM), including Javelin systems, will provide subject matter expertise in support of the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate, Soldier Requirements Division, Firepower Branch. This role focuses on managing capability requirements, facilitating life cycle support, and coordinating user representative activities related to Javelin and related MCCM systems.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the capability developer and user representative for MCCM (Javelin).
• Draft and update JCIDS documents including CDD, CDD-U, and CONOPS.
• Assist with planning, testing, and integration of Javelin systems.
• Monitor program milestones and lifecycle support efforts.
• Participate in configuration management, safety testing, and system evaluation.
• Represent the End User in working groups, test planning teams, and user juries.
• Support fielding and NET planning through TRADOC channels.

Competencies:

• Deep understanding of Javelin weapon system capabilities and employment.
• Strong grasp of JCIDS and acquisition lifecycle processes.
• Ability to analyze test data and develop operational assessments.
• Proficiency in writing and briefing technical requirements to senior leaders.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military training/experience.
• 5+ years of experience in infantry weapons or missile systems. 
• Must have completed the Combat Developers Course (CDC). 
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition and capability development processes.
• Experience with JCIDS documentation and Army test events.

Security Requirement:

• Active Secret Security Clearance
