RESIDENTIAL AIDE (RA) I/II

This position functions as a part of the clinical team in a culturally sensitive consumer residential treatment facility to provide rehabilitation services to consumers who are experiencing emotional and behavioral complications and addictive disorders.

Programs:

  • Women and Children Center for Inner Healing (WCCIH)

A medium-intensity, long-term, residential treatment program designed to serve substance-abusing pregnant and postpartum mothers with children through age seven.  Women meet in groups and have individual sessions designed to help them break the cycle and triggers of their addictions. They are also given life skills and parenting help.

  •  Ralph Perdue Center (RPC)

A short-term, residential, alcohol, and drug rehabilitation program that provides on-site services in a safe, secure, and structured environment for an average of 45 days available to native and non-native adult men and women, to understand and seek addiction treatment.  RPC provides individual or group counseling, alcohol/drug education, and case management based on the needs of the individual and the outcome of their assessment.

  •  Street Outreach Advocacy Program (SOAP)/SOAP Basic Center

An outreach program that provides services for children, ages 10 to 25 years old, who are at high risk of becoming homeless, are currently homeless or have run away from home.  SOAP’s goal is to protect youth from abuse, sexual exploitation, and assault, as well as prevent involvement in criminal activity due to their lack of money or supportive resources.

(RA I) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
  • For company insurance purposes you must be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record for the past three (3) years.

(RA II) Qualifications:

  • RA I qualifications, plus
  • Three (3) years of regular, full-time specialized work experience providing direct consumer care to culturally diverse consumers experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Work Schedules Available:

Regular Full-Time (RFT):  scheduled 40 hours/week

Regular Part-Time (RPT):  scheduled 32 hours/week

Regular on Call (ROC):  scheduled 24 hours/week

Temporary on Call (TOC):  on call, up to 29 hours/week

 

 Starting Wage: $19.29 per hour, DOE
