Hybrid After School Teacher Site Supervisors/Floaters bei The Dalton School

Salary: $35 - $40 per hour 

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking supervisors and floaters for Dalton’s Afterschool Program. This position works closely with the Director and Associate Director of Afterschool Program and reports to the Director of Afterschool Program. This is a part-time, hourly position working weekdays. This position requires availability between 3:00 – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday. 

Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshoot afternoon campus operations after 3:00 PM
• Negotiate any unplanned classroom disruptions
• Maintain up to date attendance/dismissal records 
• Coordinate classroom activities for general childcare spaces (Breakout Space and Extended Afternoon)
• Dismissal duties 
• Communicate with families during after school hours
• Document and communicate student/instructor concerns with the After School Program Director/Associate Director
• Assist in specialty classes as needed. Background in theater, dance, music, cooking, STEAM or music a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in education preferred 
• 3-4 years of classroom experience with students 4^th – 8^th grade required 
• Ability to supervise classes in the event of teacher absences
• Valid CPR + First Aid certification required
• Classroom management experience required
• Strong organizational skills
