Black River Health has an immediate opening for an Emergency Department Lead. A lead works closely with the department director to coordinate and oversee the activities of team members to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization.  Motivates and inspires their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication and encourages bonding of team members by ensuring compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality work. This opportunity is:

Essential Duties:

• Coordinates and supervises the activities of team members. Monitors the daily performance of team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
• Establishes work schedules.  Monitors and controls overtime.  Reviews and corrects timesheets, reviews and responds to time off requests, and coordinates payroll for team members.
• Collaborates effectively with the Emergency Department Director to ensure exceptional patient care, at all stages, is achieved. 
• Completes various audits to ensure nursing care delivery is meeting standards and expectations, including responsibility to audit and remediate patient charges to ensure accuracy.
• Serves as a backup for team members as needed due to staffing needs including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.

Educational Qualifications:

• ADN required
• BSN preferred
• BSN required within 3 years of the date of hire 
• Must have a valid Wisconsin RN License 
• 1+ years of related work experience required
• 3+ years of related work experience preferred
