SUMMARY

Provide maintenance, repair, and installation support for facility and machinery. 

HOURS

7:00 am - 3:30 pm M-F

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Diagnose, and repair problems with industrial machinery and equipment.  
• Replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components as needed.  
• Inspect used parts to determine imperfections and reason for failure.
• Initiate work orders, maintain paperwork, and work with supervisors.
• Assist with the installation of industrial machinery and equipment including leveling, anchoring, attaching power supply, and testing functions.
• Conduct thorough maintenance and repairs of the equipment to ensure conformance to established specifications and the reduction of un-scheduled down time.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machine tools.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Oral and written communication and customer relations skills.        
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and manuals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school
• Maintenance, repair, or similar training
• Industrial electrical/electronic training
• Work involves reading and understanding blueprints, machine manuals, working with Microsoft Office Products and other basic computer skills.
• OSHA training
• Entry level knowledge of manual and CNC machine tools
• Entry level industrial and machine single and 3 phase electrical service installation and repair

   OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

• Must be able to work varying hours and available for on-call rotation as needed.
• Supply own hand tools.
• Ability to change assignments frequently.
• Is consistently at work on time and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Follows instruction, responds to management direction.

• Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
