Summary/Objective:
The Receiving Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the receiving department, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods, maintaining inventory integrity, and leading a team of receiving associates. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Essential Functions:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the receiving team to ensure efficient and accurate receipt of incoming shipments.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists; resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation and data entry into inventory systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate receiving associates; provide feedback and support development.
- Collaborate with purchasing, inventory control, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Monitor and report on receiving metrics and performance indicators.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Work Environment:
The role is based in a large, active distribution warehouse with designated areas for receiving, storage, and shipping. The environment may include concrete floors, high shelving units, and loading docks. The warehouse may be subject to varying temperatures depending on the season and whether it is climate-controlled. Some areas may be cooler or warmer than office settings
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of items up to 50 lbs. May require operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or logistics certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse receiving, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification
