JOB OVERVIEW

MartinFed has an opening for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dedicated team in Huntsville. In this hands-on, mid-level role, you will lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure DevSecOps infrastructure, with a focus on Linux-based systems, cloud services, and open-source monitoring tools. It requires hands-on expertise in scripting, debugging cluster architectures, and managing dynamic web environments, while supporting a range of cybersecurity applications and tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies.
• Responsible for the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce multiple tools.
• Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider.
• Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website.
• Debugs cluster-based computing architectures.
• Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
• Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. Citizen with a DoD Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Experience with Linux based environment administration
• Experience testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity.
• Experience developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
• Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks
• Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python

• Fast-paced, secure operations center
• Working on a computer for long periods of time.
• May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
• The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
