What You'll Be Doing:
Member & Staff Service
- Greet members professionally and maintain confidentiality.
- Handle inquiries about credit union services, especially loans.
- Stay organized, positive, and courteous with members and coworkers.
- Communicate effectively with vendors.
Loan Processing
- Interview members and collect necessary information for loan decisions.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent accounts.
- Review credit reports, collateral, and loan documents.
- Make sound lending decisions or escalate to senior staff if needed.
- Offer credit counseling and alternative loan options.
- Communicate loan decisions clearly to members.
- Guide loan processors and maintain accurate records.
- Review and prepare all loan documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Additional Duties
- Compile and submit HMDA data.
- Review and adjust loan terms when needed.
- Audit loan portfolios and assess risks.
- Stay updated on compliance and market trends.
- Ensure insurance compliance on home equity loans.
- Manage escrow accounts and support mortgage functions.
- Recommend improvements to lending policies.
- May serve as Notary Public.
- Participate in loan participation evaluations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- 5+ years of lending experience in a financial institution.
- Deep knowledge of loan products.
- NMLS certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days.
