About The Position
Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Nearly 1,400 employees serve the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, information technology, legal counsel, and safety and supply services.
Student will work in GIS environment learning from engineers, designers or mapping personnel as they help support GIS projects. Key responsibilities include:
Available Opportunities:
January – August 2026 Spring Co-op
- Reviewing GIS data for Quality Control and Quality Assurance purposes
- Visiting sites in field to collect data and verify Ameren records
- Interacting with Ameren contractors to evaluate/confirm the validity of data provided to Ameren
- Documenting work practices utilized to gather, evaluate and record GIS data
- Assisting with updates to Ameren data
Qualifications
Current student status pursuing a degree in GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university required. Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA but, 3.0 GPA is preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will:
- Solid part-time work history preferred
- Strong Microsoft Offices skills, especially Excel preferred. Data base skills preferred.
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrate creative problem solving and proactive learning, with good analytical, management, communication, and human relations skills.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly
- Have the ability to perform multiple tasks within given time constraints with little to no oversight.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
