Job Statement

Genesis Minerals are currently seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Leonora Operation.
 
Reporting to the LV/HV Workshop Supervisor, you will provide effective and responsive light vehicle maintenance support to Leonora Operations.  The role is responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality.
 
This is opportunity is offered on a balanced 8 days on / 6 days off roster. This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.
 
The opportunity
 

• Providing Efficient and effective light vehicle maintenance support to our Leonora Operations.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks).
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
• Contributing to the Maintenance Section to ensure that the Processing Department delivers to plan in respect of production, gold recovery and cost per tonne.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:
 

• Certificate III Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven relevant work experience.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
• Strong ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
• High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals.
