What is the role
Full-time, onsite at our Adelaide office. Managing a team of Account Executives across WA, SA and QLD.
As Sales Director, you will be responsible for the performance and development of all sales activities related to major accounts within your geographic region. You’ll lead a diverse, multi-location sales team, aligning their efforts with New Era’s strategic goals and vision. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving revenue, building long-term client partnerships, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
The following include but may not be limited to the responsibilities of the Sales Director:
Lead and manage the national major accounts sales team, providing strategic direction, mentoring, and support
Develop and execute market segmentation, territory planning, and resource allocation strategies
Own sales forecasting, planning, and reporting to ensure alignment with regional and national targets
Build strong relationships with key clients, understanding their buying criteria and decision-making processes
Collaborate with the Minor Accounts team to identify and convert strategic opportunities
Identify commercial risks and assess the viability of new business opportunities
Drive continuous improvement across sales processes, CRM adoption, and team capability
Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent to support ongoing growth
Coordinate regular team meetings to review performance, share insights, and deliver training
Partner with Marketing and Procurement to develop targeted campaigns and leverage vendor relationships
Lead tender responses and contribute to strategic pitches and proposals
Represent the sales function in APAC and national leadership forums, contributing ideas and insights
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts for support and escalation
Promote a positive, accountable, and client-focused team culture
Who we are looking for
Candidates must possess a strong grasp of sales workflows and technical capabilities, as well as:
5+ years of sales management experience in the technology industry
Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
Experience leading remote teams across large geographic areas
Strong understanding of the local IT industry
Tertiary qualifications and vendor sales certifications (desirable)
