About the Department
Public Health - King County Adult Dental Program (KCADP) is seeking a Project/Program Manager II. The KCADP Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of KCADP, a program established in 2022 by the King County Council to serve income-eligible residents who are not eligible for Medicaid. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of equitable dental services across the county.

The Access & Outreach team ensures that all King County residents have access to public benefits, remove the barriers to access services, enroll residents into health insurance and other programs, creates and develop partnerships throughout King County.

Work Schedule
Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and some Saturdays due to our mobile dental clinics. There is flexibility in setting an individual's schedule. This is a Non-Exempt position and is subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
Work Location
This is a hybrid position with both in office and remote work opportunities. The primary location for this position will be based at Federal Way Storefront, located at 1640 S. 318th Pl, Federal Way, WA 98003.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Teleworking:
Some of the work associated with this position will be performed through teleworking, and will report to office location and to meetings as needed. Travel to other work locations may be necessary. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. To support employees during this time King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will be joining an innovative and progressive team.
Position Duties
- Coordinate daily operations of KCADP, ensuring smooth delivery of services and adherence to program goals.
- Plan and implement community-based dental outreach events.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, private dental providers, and public health agencies.
- Collaborate with Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) and other Public Health programs to build integrated referral systems and service connections.
- Manage and maintain community referral pathways, including private dental providers, Public Health Centers, and Public Health dental clinics.
- Support the KCADP Program Manager IV with program evaluation, contract oversight, and continuous quality improvement.
- Assist with budget monitoring to ensure services are delivered within scope and financial limits.
- Track and report outcomes and performance metrics to ensure accountability and support funding efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following (Minimum):
- Knowledge of the uninsured communities in King County.
- Experience working in a project or role that helps non-citizens access medical services.
- Understanding of what programs non-citizens are eligible to enroll into.
- In depth knowledge of the type of dental care options that are available for residents who are uninsured.
- Project management experience.
The most competitive applicants will have the following experiences and qualifications (Desired):
- Experience connecting residents into dental services and following up for enrollment and ensuring access.
- Certified Health Insurance Navigator.
- Prior experience collaborating with community partners and developing partnerships.
- Experience with tracking and budgeting expenses for a program or project.
