Function
Under the supervision of the Food Services Assistant Director of Support Services, responsible for coordinating the repairs and maintenance of all food service equipment and trucks.
Reports To:
Food Service Assistant Director of Support Services
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and record repairs from outside firms and/or the district's maintenance department on a daily basis for all school food service equipment.
- Specify equipment repairs in office, Central Kitchen, and cafeterias for maintenance and contract personnel on a daily basis.
- Enter purchase requisitions and receive reports for all maintenance and repairs on school cafeterias, Central Kitchen, office equipment, trucks, forklifts, and maintenance supplies on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate repair records for each piece of food service equipment on a continuing basis.
- Maintain record of all purchases, transfers, reductions and additions of equipment on the fixed asset system as needed to all school cafeterias, office, and Central Kitchen.
- Keep record of grease traps in all school cafeterias for health inspection requirements.
- Ensure annual inventory of Central Kitchen and office equipment is performed and recorded
- Order and purchase equipment parts as needed on a daily basis.
- Order maintenance supplies, office furniture, and equipment for warehouse, schools, and office.
- Relieve receptionist for breaks and lunch; answer telephone, direct calls and visitors, take phone messages; sort mail on a daily basis as needed.
- Lift or carry up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
- Bend, stoop and work with machinery daily.
- Walk and stand occasionally. Sit frequently.
- Relieve staff that are on vacation or absent.
- Reports vehicle accidents, fill out forms, and maintains vehicle accident files.
- Communicate with vendors regarding equipment procurement and maintain procurement records.
- Schedule and keep records of preventative maintenance on all food service ventilation hoods
- Verify all appropriate invoices prior to submitting for payment.
