The Lift Operations Office Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day function of Big Sky Resort’s Lift Operations team. This position ensures team members have the information, resources, and support needed to perform their jobs effectively—both on and off the mountain. Success in this role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to adapt to changing conditions in a mountain environment.

 

This role works a consistent four-day, 10-hour schedule each week.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the hiring, onboarding, and communication for a team of approximately 200 seasonal team members
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Lift Operations communication both within the department and across resort teams
  • Use systems such as UKG, iCIMS, Microsoft Office, StarRez, ALICE, and resort landlines to manage operations and communication
  • Maintain supply levels and order as needed
  • Help maintain a clean and safe office and locker room environment, including shoveling and snow removal as necessary
  • Assist with on-mountain operations such as maze setup, fencing, and signage
  • Transport team members or guests when required, following safety protocols
  • Provide general guest assistance and serve as a representative of Lift Operations
  • Take responsible charge during your shift, ensuring policies and procedures are understood and followed
  • Provide general support to the Lift Operations team, including assisting with breaks and other operational needs
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Previous guest service experience required
  • Lift Operations experience preferred
  • Familiarity with computer systems and scheduling platforms preferred
  • Knowledge of Big Sky Resort terrain and operations preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 35 pounds
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Ability to operate resort vehicles and snowmobiles in winter conditions
  • Skiing or snowboarding ability at an intermediate level or higher is preferred but not required
