Position Purpose:
The Inside Sales Specialist will increase sales and customer satisfaction by building relationships with specific clients by facilitating bid creation, pricing maintenance, and efficiently and courteously assisting customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.

- Service customers by taking orders and entering them into the system accurately; give priority to regular accounts.
- Service the needs of a specific market or group, i.e. GSA customers, or Unitary Product partners, as assigned.
- Work with purchasing to assure adequate inventory levels to meet client needs.
- Maintain pricing structures required by customers and create cheat sheets to assist our team with pricing.
- Use electronic and published catalogs to provide product, pricing and availability information to customers.
- Follow company pricing and credit guidelines.
- Solve or find someone to quickly solve customers’ problems.
- Assure that orders are shipped according to the customer's instructions.
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items.
- Promote new products, sell overages, damaged and discontinued items.
- Handle customer complaints and returns, while showing a positive attitude.
- Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
- Drive sales activity through outbound sales calls as directed by management.
- Participate in company-sponsored sales promotions.
- Work with other departments to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Assist the sales team as needed, as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Attend product training meetings.
- Attend to the toll-free order hotline.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma / GED required OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year in a progressive position.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
- Product/applications and/or Wholesale Distribution experience preferred.
