The budgeted starting rate for this role is $25.71

*Shift Hours 10am-7pm Mountain Time*

Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Registration Advisor I are to provide expert guidance to learners concerning their academic plans and schedules, assist learners in making informed decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to graduation, and facilitate all necessary enrollment paperwork.  

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Advises learners about academic requirements, selection of courses, and graduation requirements. 
  • Refers learners to appropriate specialized staff for such issues as financial assistance, etc.  
  • Assists learners with withdrawal process and necessary paperwork. 
  • Works with Admissions to facilitate traditional re-entry for learners wanting to re-enroll into the program. 
  • Oversees the entire re-entry process for learners who wish to re-enter and are eligible for short-term re-entry. 
  • Advises learners on the effects of adding/dropping courses or changing schedules. 
  • Fosters intentional relationships with other functions. 
  • Monitors non-attendance report daily and reaches out to all learners who have not attended courses in the previous ten days. 
  • Provides consistent advising and outreach to learners throughout foundational courses.  
  • Facilitates the matriculation of learners from foundational courses into their chosen program. 
  • Proactively stays informed of changing institutional information including admissions requirements, new programs, course changes, deadlines, important dates, requisite requirements, transfer credit requirements, updates in college-wide narratives, and changes in state and federal mandates. 
  • Actively participates in team meetings including weekly meetings, 1:1s, trainings, etc. 
  • Understands and adheres to FERPA regulations for the release of learner information. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, 2 years preferred.  
    • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse learner population. 
    • Computer skills- Mastery of entire Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with LMS systems (Campus Nexus, Banner, etc.). 
    • Coordination, planning, and organizational skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. 
    • Ability to work with complex systems in a fast paced and dynamic environment. 
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.  
    • Ability to learn quickly and disseminate detailed information. 
    • Use of computer and telephone to produce outputs and to communicate with learners and other collaborators. 
    • Capability to travel as required to attend company-wide events and/or trainings held annually. 

    All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
