Financial Analyst

Department: Accounting Location: New Britain, CT

DATTCO has a full-time Financial Analyst opening in New Britain, CT. The Financial Analyst will support the accounting department by performing various financial and administrative tasks. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee payroll calculation and compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports
  • Analyze variances and conduct trending analyses
  • Generate A/R aging reports, monitor collections efforts by account
  • Manage and generate statements
  • Conduct trending analyses
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and expense reports including manager compliance and general ledger coding
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct trending analyses
  • Supports system maintenance including contracts price adjustments and regular billing audits
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Completes ad hoc reporting and KPI distribution monitoring as required
  • Support, month end close and reconciliation as required including A/R, inventory, fixed assets and customer deposits

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years� experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
