Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Department: Finance / Accounting
Reports To: Assistant Controller
Position Summary:
The accounts payable supervisor will supervise the general accounts payable group within the
accounting department, reporting to the Assistant Controller and supervising several direct reports. The
AP supervisor will facilitate the smooth functioning and improvement of the accounts payable function
within the wider Linder environment, providing active oversight of daily, monthly and annual AP
responsibilities, working cross-functionally with managers from other departments, both at the
corporate and branch levels, and advancing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning, implementation and management of AP Automation project, to include
software implementation, internal process development, training of corporate and branch
employees and ongoing management of new accounts payable routing, approval and entry
process, working with Assistant Controller, Controller and other department managers for
successful implementation
Lead expansion of vendor ACH payment program, enrolling new and existing vendors in phases
and refining procedures, as necessary
Ensure timely review of vendor accounts for statement reconciliation, aged invoices/credits,
duplicate accounts, etc. to maintain clean AP aging
Review vendor accounts for proper setup of discount terms and actively manage AP process,
working with other departments as necessary, to capture more available discounts
Review and reconcile GRNI accounts and work to resolve aging GRNI and invoice receipt items,
coordinating with other departments as necessary
Responsible for training of and allocation of responsibilities among general AP employees to
ensure adequate coverage of all general AP functions and efficient use of personnel resources as
processes evolve
Process and reconcile Komatsu monthly open statement, multiple floorplan payments, and
corporate credit card payments.
Manage correspondence and inquiries with vendors and internal customers
Manage accrual, reconciliation, and journal entry posting related to AP
Provide audit support for external audit, internal audit and floorplan financing audits
Identify gaps and develop SOP and cross-functional training to streamline AP processes
Responsible for 1099 reporting and other compliance requirements, as assigned
Special projects and other accounting department responsibilities, as assigned
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting or related area preferred, or equivalent work
experience
5+ years progressive experience in corporate accounting
2+ years supervisory experience preferred
Attention to details and high-level accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to act with high ethical and professional standards
Excellent customer /vendor service skills (both internal and external)
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work with other departments
cross-functionally
Ability to balance priorities and produce high-quality work within deadlines; Get-done attitude;
Quick learner and Self-starter
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel including data manipulation skills
Experience with fully integrated ERP systems a plus
