DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Shooting Star Casino team members will always deliver excellent guest service to our guests and fellow co-workers.

Coordinates customer contact and meeting information to include.
• Organization of necessary details to complete the Banquet Event Order.
• Entering customer and contact information into the Event Management Software Program.
• Return customer calls regarding contract information, banquet facilities, room availability and quotes within timelines allowed as outlined in departmental standards.
• Monitor deadlines and contract information for banquets regarding changes and challenges.
• Responsible for selling via outbound solicitation calls, cold calls, direct mail, networking in the community, at trade shows and chamber events, and in response to advertising efforts.
• Follow through on contract information from beginning, during and to end of event.
• Provides contract information to the banquet staff prior to event.
• Coordinate with various departments for special customer requests and advertising (internal and external).
• Prepares correspondence including but not limited to letters, catering contracts and estimates.
• Follow up with guests after completion of events to assure satisfaction.

Perform Administrative duties for the hospitality team to ensure smooth operation of event management.
• Prepare direct mail and sales reports for Hospitality Team.
• Meeting customer expectations, special requests and contract changes by working with departments involved.
• Coordinate the Hospitality Team meetings.
• Enter internal department event contracts into Event Management Computer Program.
• Maintains and distributes inventory of office supplies for the various department locations.
• Run various errands for management as required.

Listens and responds to guest concerns and needs to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Communicates information to provide superior guests service.
• Answers telephones to receive and provide information.
• Answers internal and external customer questions to ensure all needs are met.

Receives payment for services by accepting various methods of payment.
• Accepts credit card payment and process the proper paperwork.
• Process paperwork to be added to contract for purpose of direct bill.
• Receive check/cash and follows vault deposit procedures.
• Collects outstanding customer balances.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two –year college or technical school preferred. We will accept a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma with a minimum of two years related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & DESIGNATIONS
Must meet the requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State compact for Gaming.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software including Excel, Word, Outlook, Hotel Property Management System, Event Management Software, and Internet.
• Knowledge of the casino’s hotel and event center rates, packages, deadlines, promotions, rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of Event Center layout, menu, set up and audio/visual capabilities.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply commonly accepted rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation in written communication.
• Skill of determining alternatives that would correct a situation.
• Skill of preparing written materials such as correspondence, reports and proposals to meet purpose and audience.
• Skill in operating office equipment including copiers, fax machines, shredder, perforator, and calculator.
• Skill of developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Skills of basic math include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages and decimals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or other Team Members of the organization.
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to maintain and demonstrate a positive outlook.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to provide excellent phone service.
• Ability to successfully work with and communicate ideas to multiple departments and various levels of management.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as gaming controls and procedure manuals, safety rules and operation and maintenance instructions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise.
• Frequent travel is required.
• Occasional exposure to moderate concentration levels of tobacco smoke.
