Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Visual Merchandiser (VM), you train and guide retail teams to execute market leading retail experiences in a high-visibility, pinnacle Arc’teryx store. You deliver monthly directives that detail floor layouts, product presentation and marketing strategies that reinforce our brand vision. You partner cross-functionally with our Corporate office to bring seasonal direction to life at our Rockefeller store, while providing feedback to the Merchandising, Allocations, Marketing and Store Design teams on how we can evolve. Using your knowledge of the outdoor industry and retail experience, you inspire and drive continuous improvement in our Rockefeller store. 
 
This is an onsite role and will be performed out of our Rockefeller store. Hours will fluctuate to support with store and brand needs.  
 
Meet Your Future Team:

The Visual Merchandising team is accountable for driving global consistency of VM within all retail channels to maximize sales, profit, and brand positioning. We create, deliver and train on evergreen brand standards and seasonal directives informed by collaboration with our cross-functional teams.  


A reasonable estimate of the pay range is USD$70,000 - USD$87,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as market location, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer. 


If you were the Visual Merchandiser - Rockefeller now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Implementing monthly executions based on VM/ brand directives and local market 
  • Collaborating with window installers on window executions and displays that reflects brand seasonal and campaigns focuses  
  • Leading inspirational training sessions for store team, season launches and capsule releases in collaboration with the Retail Excellence team, while continuously driving VM development and training initiatives 
  • Executing retail brand marketing strategies by implementing window displays, in-store signage and visual elements that align campaigns and seasonal focuses  
  • Adapting VM directives to store layout and conditions based on consumer behaviors while maintaining brand vision 
  • Ensuring all visual elements (signage, lighting, fixtures etc) are clean, functional and aligned to Brand Standards 
  • Leading and supporting Visual Merchandising training with store team on VM presentation and standards 
  • Partnering closely with Store Manager, Regional Manager and Regional Visual Merchandising Manager to plan and execute monthly VM executions and capsule collections 
  • Maintaining visual merchandising tools, supplies, signage and props in an organized and safe manner 
  • Conducting regular visual walks with SM, ASM to access standards and address any issues proactively  
  • Staying current on fashion and retail trends to provide feedback and innovate in store visual merchandising and mannequin styling 
  • Partnering with the Allocation team to manage product placement and replenishment based on sell-through and in-store needs 
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

  • Creating and continuously evolving our pinnacle VM concept strategies, based on global marketplace and key consumer trends, to deliver on our 10-year brand vision  
  • Initiating the development of new VM tools and processes to drive functional efficiencies and transparency 
  • Accelerating our in store merchandising experiences and elevating our global approach to VM 


  • Are you our next Visual Merchandiser – Rockefeller?
  • You have a university degree in Visual Merchandising, Art & Design, Marketing or Business Management 
  • You have 2+ years’ Visual Merchandising experience within an outdoor, sportswear or luxury apparel space, including  experience leading a team or overseeing a process   
  • You have excellent planning, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines 
  • You are a creative problem solver, flexible in developing strategic solutions that work within  timelines  
  • You have strong analytical, communication and presentation skills 
  • You are passionate about Visual Merchandising and keen to progress with a career in retail 
  • You are enthusiastic and creative with a flair for design and color, with an eye for detail and an interest in popular culture and current trends 
  • You have a strong understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry, and the key outdoor activities we make product for 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365 & have experience with Adobe Create Suite
