Position Description
Provides project management design including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project design. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions
- Assist the Lead Project Manager to develop, review, process & execute requested work by monitoring Furniture Resource Management projects
- May provide support for other work managed by other departments such as Building Maintenance and Operations
- Documents & monitors work as required
- Assist the Lead Project Manager as technical or communication liaison between the TTUHSC EP and external entities including architectural & engineering firms, business partners & regulatory agencies
- Works collaboratively across functionally diverse teams to develop solutions to technically complex problems and Interior design challenges.
- Coordinates, schedules and ensures work accomplished to acceptable quality standards by contractor and internal personnel for furniture projects
- Responsible for instructing, directing, mentoring, and checking the work of other team members
- Maintains and keeps files, drawings, specifications and constructions documents updated and properly organized in both electronic and printed formats
- Reviews and provides input on plans and specifications for repair, upgrades and construction ensuring accurate furniture plans with CAD and visually effective presentations with Adobe Creative Suite (similar programs)
- May act as local liaison on work being managed by others
- Establishes effective complex project management life cycle (design, build, test – unit, integration, acceptance testing, commissioning testing, deployment and transfer to operations) and adhere to the internal Project management methodologies and processes referencing Furniture Resource Management projects
- Control and manage furniture project milestones and budgets from planning through construction or installation and closeout
- Define and promote formal communication methods and establish open and consistent communication within the Engineering Team and management and institutional senior management
- Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
- Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, interior design or closely related technical field required
- Degree must be obtained from accredited program such as ABET and AACSB
- Must have seven years' experience with project management, furniture acquisitions of similar scope & complexity that includes a broad background and extensive knowledge in the management and oversight of budget / expenditure accounting, technical personnel and resource management in maintenance, repair and construction / renovation programs
- Experience and knowledge in state procurement and materials management
- Experience in a health-related institution is highly desirable
