Implement, and optimize IT infrastructure, focusing on servers, storage solutions, backups, enterprise email, and cloud technologies. This role involves evaluating and improving existing systems, developing automation strategies, and ensuring high performance, security, and scalability within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Implement IT infrastructure solutions that support growth and scalability.
- Optimize server environments, including virtualization and cloud-based systems.
- Manage enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Oversee enterprise email platforms, enforcing security and reliability best practices.
- Implement automation solutions for system management and efficiency improvements.
- Perform capacity planning and performance analysis, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Enhance system security through hardening strategies and compliance enforcement.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and patching, maintaining system stability.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues across infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team, driving improvements and implementing new technologies.
- Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations and policies.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and monitor potential security risks.
- Works in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
- Engages in physical activities, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
- Travels as needed, including overnight stays.
- Works varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field of study and 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or related IT infrastructure management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent preferred.
Experience in Windows Server, Linux, email platforms (Exchange, Microsoft 365, etc.) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with email security protocols like DKIM, SPF, DMARC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with performance monitoring and system automation tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
Excellent communication skills, highly organized, work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once.
Ability to be self-motivated, positive, can-do approach and team player.
Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
