About the Department

The CT Tech Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing and operating the CT Technician customized corporate training support program designed to prepare VMFH Radiography trainees to upskill in the field of CT Technology. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Virgina Mason Franciscan Health Diagnostic Imaging Department to support a diverse population of students in their course work, fostering an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment. The Instructor will provide instructional support for students pursuing the 16 CE credits from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) CT Basics program, which satisfies the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) 16-credit structured education requirement. Additionally this instructor will provide weekly On-The-Job Skills training to trainees at VMFH clinical sites.

Position Duties

Duty: Review and update records and system data, assist with department processes and procedures 
Tasks include:

  • Manage K-12 student information system (currently School Master) data entry. 
  • Audit system data and make adjustments as needed for reporting and accuracy. 
  • Assist with admissions, enrollment processes, and resolve challenges and inquiries. 
  • Manage data quality review processes. 
  • Assist with review of processes and procedures for continuous process improvement

Duty: Ensure that NWCTHS remains in compliance with various college, state, and federal requirements. 
Tasks include: 
  • Remain current with the mandates/standards of the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction as they relate to the high school diploma programs.
  • Oversee enrollment reporting, high school records, and other required reports and communications. 
  • Coordinate with school district partners regarding student records and enrollment information.
  •  Manage monthly and annual reporting to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. 
  • Provide additional data reporting as requested.
Duty: Assist with credentials and evaluation processes. 
Tasks include: 
  • Provide maintenance and corrections of student records in SIS.
  • Assist with awarding credentials of completion.
  • Assist with evaluation of transcripts for placement and course transferability as needed

Duty: College support 
Tasks include: 
  • Coordinate closely with the Enrollment and Student Finance offices to ensure process alignment, field questions, and improve cross-divisional processes. 
  • Participate in college shared governance as well as department or division meetings and college events as requested/required.
  • Assist in Pre-College Pathways office functions as needed. 
  • Engage in professional development opportunities as appropriate or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field. 
  • Two years of work experience in a college office setting. 
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet use (Excel). 
  • Evidence of a commitment to furthering equity, diversity, and inclusion 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform analytical and critical thinking. 
  • Experience with student management system or similar large database system.

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field. 
  • Experience designing and running reports. 
  • Experience in Access or other database software.

Our History

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington. Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders, and blueprint readers. Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation and Trades.

CPTC has two campuses: Our main campus is located in Lakewood, WA, and our South Hill Campus is located in Puyallup, WA.
